Selena Gomez is preparing for a major comeback! Even though the ‘Kill ‘Em With Kindness’ singer recently cancelled her tour due to her lupus diagnosis, she’s still got music on her mind! We’ve got the EXCLUSIVE details about when she’ll be heading back to the studio.
Selena Gomez, 24, has her heart set on creating more music, but she’s still planning to take it easy after her lupus diagnosis. “Her health and privacy is her top priority right now so she has been careful about sharing her whereabouts with anyone,” a source close to the singer tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “She has been missing her fans and performing her music and hopes to get back on the road soon. Selena’s also been channeling her creative energy in writing lyrics and new music so she will be prepared for the studio when she feels well enough to get back to work.” We’re just glad she’s tending to her well-being!
Luckily, Selena has found a wonderful support system in her longtime gal pal, Taylor Swift, 26. Since the “Come & Get It” singer has been dealing with depression and anxiety brought on by lupus, she’s been needing a close friend to lean on as she gets back to tip-top shape. Tay’s been encouraging her BFF to embrace the simple life, sending her words of encouragement via text to keep her spirits up! Selena’s friend Charlie Puth also agreed with her choice, making his thoughts known on the ITV talk show Lorraine on Sept. 15, saying, “I think it’s a good idea to take a break from the spotlight.”
Sel officially began canceling dates on her Revival World Tour on Aug, 31, shortly after making the tragic announcement to her fans that her autoimmune disease had affected her ability to perform. She revealed that she wanted “to be proactive” and “focus on maintaining” her health and happiness! The pop star certainly deserves plenty of rest and relaxation. Get better soon, Selena!
