Here’s some amazing news to kick off the weekend with! Beyonce and Jay Z will be hosting and performing at a joint charity concert on Oct. 15 in New York City, according to various reports. This will mark the first time that the couple has performed together since ‘Lemonade’ was released — get all of the exciting details right here!
Beyonce, 35, and Jay Z, 45, are reuniting on stage for a charity concert to benefit New York poverty-fighting organization The Robin Hood Foundation, the New York Post reports. What incredible news!
Bey and Jay Z are set to perform along with Nicki Minaj, Lauryn Hill and Lil Wayne at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY, the outlet reports. That’s one show that you will NOT want to miss!
Tickets will reportedly range from $50 — not bad — to $100,000 for VIP packages. Whoa. All proceeds will go to The Robin Hood Foundation, as well as “education for children in NYC and for charities nominated by the artists”. Such a great cause!
Can’t make it to Brooklyn? No worries — the Post also reports that the event will be live streamed on Tidal. Nice!
This will be the first time Bey and Jay have taken the stage together since her controversial album Lemonade was released. When the record dropped, certain lyrics in various songs sparked rumors that Jay had cheated on Beyonce, and thus a social media investigation was launched by fans to try and determine who “Becky with the good hair” is. We can’t wait to see if the couple uses this very public opportunity to set the record straight once and for all!
