Margot, 26, has signed a deal with Warner Bros. for a Harley Quinn spinoff movie that she will executive produce, according to The Hollywood Reporter. After months and months of waiting, the Harley Quinn standalone movie we’ve been waiting for has finally been confirmed!
Margot has been begging for a Harley Quinn movie ever since Suicide Squad was made. Her character was definitely the breakout star of the movie, and she left viewers wanting more. She revealed in an interview back in Aug. 2016 that she was trying to make a Harley Quinn movie, that features The Joker (Jared Leto), happen as soon as possible. She’s aware that there’s A LOT of story to tell. Plus, who doesn’t want to see more Harley and The Joker?
A production schedule and a possible released date has yet to be revealed. Margot is gearing up to film a Tonya Harding biopic and a movie about the life of A.A. Milne. But we’re sure she’ll make time for the one and only Harley!
The 26-year-old’s deal includes a partnership between Warner Bros. and her LuckyChap Entertainment banner. In addition to the Harley Quinn movie, Margot’s set to produce and star in an adaptation of Dean N. Jensen’s Queen of the Air.
The Harley Quinn movie is the latest film added to the DC Extended Universe slate. Wonder Woman, Justice League, The Flash and Aquaman are just few Warner Bros. movies coming up. Ben Affleck, 43, is also filming a Batman reboot, so that will hit theaters in a few years. Bring on the superhero movies, Warner Bros!
