So exciting! Ever since Zayn Malik fell for Gigi Hadid, he can’t stop writing songs about their red-hot romance. HollywoodLife.com has learned EXCLUSIVELY that he’s already put together so much material that we could be getting a new album from the singer sooner than later! Keep reading to find out when.
“The new tracks are bangers and he wants to put out another solo album, but is in no rush. He has bigger issues to deal with so he is not putting any pressure on himself and his management team is giving him space too,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. Zayn‘s debut album Mind of Mine just came out in March, so he’s got plenty of time before fans begin clamoring for his follow-up LP.
The 23-year-old has been battling crippling anxiety problems that have kept him from touring in support of the album, and what few shows he’s had to perform his solo music, he’s cancelled because of panic attacks about performing live. It’s best to let the guy have some time and space to deal with those issues before rushing out new material to promote.
In the meantime, Zayn’s still been working hard in the recording studio on other projects. He was featured on the EDM group Snakehips’ hit “Cruel” and even starred in their video. He also contributed a song to the Ghostbusters soundtrack in July. Right now it seems like best place for him these days is in the security of the studio, letting his creative juices flow instead of worrying about live performances.
The good news is when his second album does come along, it’s going to be filled with love songs about his girlfriend Gigi Hadid, 21. “Zayn writes music daily and has been putting Gigi in his tracks since the day the met,” our insider adds. He’d already put down most of the recordings for Mind of Mine when the two started dating in Dec. 2015, so unfortunately we didn’t get to hear any sweet love songs about his honey. But that’s all about to change when it comes to album number two!
HollywoodLifers, are you excited for new music from Zayn? Or do you wish he would tour instead?
