OMG! Harry Potter fans, you’re going to practically die when you hear what Daniel Radcliffe had to say about reprising the titular role in Warner Bros. potential adaptation of J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter theater production, ‘Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.’
The New York Daily News recently reported that Warner Bros. may adapt J.K. Rowling‘s Harry Potter theater production, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. The studio has since disputed the report, which also stated that Daniel Radcliffe was being approached to reprise the titular role, but when the actor was asked about the rumors at this past weekend’s Deauville Film Festival, he didn’t exactly shut them down!
“I’m never going to close the door; that would be a stupid thing to do,” Daniel said when asked if he’d ever do another Harry Potter movie, according to Consequence Of Sound. But even so, he said he is “happy enough and secure enough” to let someone else portray Harry Potter if need be. Especially since the 27-year-old doesn’t feel old enough to play the adult version of Harry in the Cursed Child.
“At the moment it’s not even a concern because I’m too young to play the character, but even in 10 years’ time I would still feel strange about going back to it,” he said, before adding, “it would depend on the script. The circumstances would have to be pretty extraordinary. But then I am sure Harrison Ford said that with Han Solo and look what happened there!”
So he’s say there’s a chance! He’s not exactly saying yes, but he’s definitely not saying no, which means Warner Bros. really needs to make this happen. Like, for real!
