With Bella Hadid opening the show and the likes of Anna Wintour and Emily Ratajkowski in the front row, DKNY’s SS17 show was nothing short of spectacular! And featuring futuristic clothing with an athleisure vibe, the collection was both dramatic and urban — pieces that would totally be at home in Lady Gaga’s & Victoria Justice’s closets.
DKNY unveiled its first collection since it was sold by LVMH to G-III Apparel Group at NYFW on Sept. 12 on The High Line. The show was highly anticipated and fans couldn’t wait to see what recently appointed creative directors Maxwell Osborne and Dao-Yi Chow would bring forth. They ended up churning out a sexy, modern, and quite captivating collection that was incredibly unique — we can definitely see stars eating these looks up!
And while many of the looks looked like something out of a next-century film, and could even be interpreted as workers’ uniforms, we think celebs like Lady Gaga, 30, and Victoria Justice, 23, would wear many of these sporty outfits in a heartbeat.
After all, Lady Gaga is all about pushing boundaries — especially with her fashion choices — and we can undoubtedly see her rocking this oversized blazer and barely-there sheer shorts with over-the-knee boots. And lately the singer has been even more keen on showing off her legs than usual, which makes this outfit all the more appropriate!
As for Victoria, the actress always likes to keep her fashion choices fresh and streamlined, which is why we love this straightforward, edgy dress for her. It’s impeccably tailored and would be BEYOND flattering on her toned frame. We can definitely see her wearing this little number to her next red carpet appearance!
And while the clothes were obviously the focus of DKNY’s show, the star-studded guest list was also a high-point of the event. HollywoodLife.com spotted Anna Wintour, 66, in the front row along with Yolanda Foster, 52. Obvi Yolanda was front and center to support her daughter, Bella Hadid, 19, who opened the show — and even sweeter, she was totally beaming as Bella strutted down the brightly-lit runway. Aw!
Models Martha Hunt, 27, Nina Agdal, 24, and Emily Ratajkowski, 25, were also front row at the show — and they looked completely fabulous in their slip dresses and cropped tops. It was definitely an exciting event, and holding it on The High Line served as the perfect symbolism for new beginnings and fresh starts since the company was bought earlier this year. We can’t wait to see what they roll out for fall/winter!
