Altuzarra’s New York Fashion Week collection was all about bright colors and fun patterns. To match the effortless, flirty feel, the designer’s models were given slicked-back wet hair and smudged out black eyeliner. Get the exact how-to on copying the sleek hair look celebs like Kendall Jenner have rocked, ahead!
She may not have walked the runway at Altuzarra, but model Kendall Jenner has definitely sported the beauty look seen at the Spring/Summer 2017 show in NYC on Sept. 11. Originating on the runway several seasons ago, we’ve seen the wet hairstyle cropping up on the red carpet, proving it won’t be disappearing anytime soon.
At Altuzarra, Odile Gilbert worked with Kérastase Paris to perfect the look. “The hair this season is a sophisticated, wet-hair look,” Odile said. “It is definitely sexy and represents the moment when you get out of the water at the beach and push your hair back.”
1) To get the look, start with wet hair, or fake it like Odile did backstage by using a spray bottle to completely wet the hair.
2) Next, Odile took a generous amount of Kérastase Paris Crème de la Crème, $37, and applied it all over the head, brushing the hair back and off of the face.
3) Once she got the right look, Odile lightly dried the hair using the diffuser attachment to scrunch the ends for a textured finish.
4) To lock the wet hairstyle in place and add even more shine, Odile applied Kérastase Paris Forme Fatale, $36, at the crown of the head, and sprayed Kérastase Paris Laque Dentelle, $37, all over.
HollywoodLifers, would you ever try the slicked-back, wet hair look?
