52 beautiful girls took the stage for the annual Miss America pageant, but only one will win the crown. With most of the girls sticking to classic pageant curls and smokey eye makeup, get all of the details, ahead!
The Miss America competition was all about the pageant curls. Taking place in Atlantic City, NJ, on Sept. 11, the contestants took the stage with hair and makeup looks to rival any Hollywood red carpet.
While all of the girls looked amazing, we’re taking a closer look at some of the final fifteen who really stood out. While all of the girls sported long locks, Miss Oklahoma rocked a trendy lob cut that was made cooler thanks to her textured waves style. Then, there was Miss New York, who paired her flowing curls with glowing skin and a clear glossy lip. Going for softer waves, Miss California also stood out by skipping the preferred nude lip and opting for a high-shine red lipstick instead.
No matter what the hair and makeup look, all of the girls showed off flawless skin thanks to sponsor Sally Hansen’s Salon Airbrush Legs, $12.99. The drugstore product can be used to cover up any imperfections and add a bronzed glow, and is so good, even Kylie Jenner once confessed to using the spray when she needs a quick boost.
But the contestants weren’t the only glam girls at the competition. Among the judges was singer Ciara, Olympic gold medalist Gabby Douglas and actress Laura Marano. While Ciara chose to wear her hair straight and Gabby opted for an updo, Laura kept up the pageant theme wearing her hair in voluminous curls.
