Tess Holliday’s latest runway show at Curve Fashion Festival is a breath of fresh air! Taking a stand against the pressures to be skinny in the fashion industry, the plus-sized model flaunted her voluptuous figure at the groundbreaking event. Check out the empowering pics!
How refreshing is it to see a curvaceous woman on the catwalk for a change? Sure, New York Fashion Week was amazing and oh, so glamorous, but there’s ANOTHER runway show we need to talk about — the Curve Fashion Festival, featuring Tess Holliday, 31. The size 26 model has been continuously breaking the mold in the fashion world — an industry that, sadly, holds weight above all us. Models are picked apart for how they look on a daily basis, but Tess is eager to change the way we look at beauty. Check out the pics HERE.
The world’s first size 26 supermodel strutted her stuff at the Curve Fashion Festival, an event that specifically focuses on women over the size of 14. It is the UK’s largest plus-size event. Tess opened the show in a funky black and pink striped dress, with a cute pair of black heels. Walking behind her on the runway was Hayley Hasselhoff (yep, the daughter of the famous Baywatch actor), who stunned in a silk wrap dress. You might recognize Hayley from her appearances on The Rich Kids of Beverly Hills TV series, opposite Dorothy Wang and Morgan Stewart.
Unfortunately, there are still people in this world who don’t picture Tess’ size as beautiful. One of those people is weight loss expert, Steve Miller, who slammed the model for “normalizing obesity.” Steve is known as the Simon Cowell of the fitness world, which means his comments are always ruthless! The expert adds that it’s a “ludicrous” concept that women can be “gorgeous and fat” at the same time. Whoa, someone needs to teach this guy a lesson!
HollywoodLifers, are you proud of Tess for breaking the mold in the fashion industry?
