There was no shortage of wearable, flirty frocks and bright hues at the Milly Spring 2017 runway show — in fact, we wanted to wear a slew of items that came down the runway!
Milly designer Michelle Smith says summer is her favorite season — and the inspiration is clear in her Spring 2017 collection, which debuted during New York Fashion Week on Sept. 9. From flowing dresses to crop tops and a countless backless looks, the line was full of wearable clothes — it was a quintessential contemporary collection.
Now, of course we would expect nothing less from Milly, a label that manages to infuse a fun, feminine vibe into every design. Take, for example, the ruffle-accented pencil skirts or the cutout dresses and off-the-shoulder tops, (a trend that is clearly here to say!).
Inspired by the space between purity and sensuality, the collection was both sexy and sweet as the two dynamics were constantly balanced out, right on the runway.
Front Row Faces — Celebs Flock To New York Fashion Week: See Their Best Dressed Looks
While the looks were wearable for countless occasions, our favorite had to be the plunging cobalt blue gown that closed the show, the flowing skirt billowing behind the model as she made her final walk and turned to reveal sexy straps that held the dress together.. We also can’t get enough of the striped dresses that evoked the feeling of a summer day. Milly is a label worn by many stylish stars — in fact, some even stepped out to take in the show. We spotted Kelly Osbourne, (who brought along her adorable pup!), and Candace Cameron Bure in the front row and could also see so many of the looks on the celeb set. For example, there was a lacy white crop top and matching skirt that would look amazing on Lea Michele while we could also totally see Chrissy Teigen in the collection.
