Plenty of people weren’t happy with Kanye West for the major start time delay at his Yeezy Season 4 show for NYFW…but it was all part of his master plan, according to one of his collaborators. But why in the world would ‘Ye piss that many people off ON PURPOSE? Find out here!
“Everyone was in a state of meditation,” Yeezy Season 4 collaborator, Vanessa Beecroft, told Page Six. “The long wait before, I believe it was planned because he wanted the audience to get into this state of having to observe and having to stay.”
Unfortunately, the plan backfired a bit, as the crowd grew impatient, and models began fainting while standing out in the hot sun waiting for the start time. However, Vanessa said she believes the people passing out wasn’t because of heat and dehydration, but rather, “emotional stress.”
“It wasn’t physical,” she explained to the paper. “There was food and water. The situation is so intense and people are looking at you and you are standing. Yesterday I don’t know if it was because they were overwhelmed. I’m not sure. I was bothered yesterday in the sense that I’m sorry for what’s happening, but at the same time, I wouldn’t know how to prevent it if it was emotional.”
Clearly, the 39-year-old isn’t too concerned about making people wait, though — he showed up to his after-party later that evening late, too. However, he did make a big announcement that night, revealing that he would be signing Kylie Jenner’s boyfriend, Tyga, 26, to G.O.O.D. Music. Unfortunately, he and Kim Kardashian, 35, had to leave NYC after that, as his Saint Pablo tour hit D.C. on Sept. 8 and continues throughout the month.
HollywoodLifers, do you think Kanye really delayed the show on purpose?
