Get ready to see a whole lot more from Kaia Gerber! The new model was just announced as the face of Marc Jacobs Beauty, and she started off her new role with a gorgeous smokey eye and nude lip combo. Get the details on Kaia’s partnership and find out how to copy her exact look, ahead.
Fashion week may have only just begun, but Kaia Gerber has already left her mark. The 15-year-old daughter of supermodel great, Cindy Crawford, was named Breakthrough Model Of The Year at The Daily Front Row Awards on Sept. 8 and the new spokesmodel for Marc Jacobs Beauty all in the same week!
To celebrate her big award, Kaia called in makeup pro, Hung Vanngo, to create the perfect natural beauty look with a hint of glam for the major occasion.
1) To start, Hung applied the hydrating primer, Marc Jacobs Beauty Under(cover) Perfecting Coconut Face Primer, $44, to Kaia’s skin before covering any imperfections with Genius Gel Super-Charged Oil-Free Foundation, $48, and Remedy Concealer Pen, $39.
2) To set the base, Hung dusted the Perfection Powder – Featherweight Foundation, $46, all over and warmed up Kaia’s face with Air Blush Soft Glow Duo in 506 Flesh & Fantasy, $42.
3) For the eyes, Hung used the ivory nude and peach nude shadow shades from the Style Eye-Con No.3 – Plush Shadow Palette in the Ingenue 102, $39, over Kaia’s lids and at the inner corners of her eyes. To complete her soft smokey eye, Hung lined her top lash lines with Highliner Gel Eye Crayon Eyeliner in Blacquer 42, $25, slightly smudging the lines out and applied two coats of Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara, $26, to her lashes.
4) To finish off the look, Hung used the apricot nude Le Marc Lip Crème Lipstick in No Angel 242, $30, on Kaia’s lips.
While her Daily Front Row Awards look was simple, the behind-the-scenes pics Marc Jacobs shared from Kaia’s upcoming campaign tell us we can expect something much edgier from the duo very soon. With Kaia posing in wild backcombed curls and bright blue eyeliner, we have a feeling something cool is in the works.
