Oh no! Country singer Loretta Lynn has reportedly postponed her upcoming concert dates after suffering from a recent fall. The singer will need immediate surgery to correct the injuries. Will she be okay?
This is kind of scary, but the good news is Loretta, 60, won’t need major surgery to correct her injuries. She will have to undergo minor surgery after taking a nasty fall in her Tennessee home over Labor Day Weekend, according Lynn’s statement on her personal website. To ensure that she heals properly, the doctor has advised her to stay off the road until she makes a full recovery.
Thankfully, it looks like the country music icon is doing exactly what the doctor prescribed. Loretta is currently resting at her Hurricane Mills, Tennessee ranch, recuperating from the injuries, according to the statement.
We definitely hope the “Coal Minor’s Daughter” gets well soon, but this is definitely some bad news for her fans who were expecting to see the act live. The singer’s team announced that she will have to postpone many of her upcoming concert stops while she continues to recuperate at home. Some of the most recent dates include her show in Renfro Valley, Kentucky on Sept. 9, another show at the Mountaineer Casino in West Virginia on Sept. 10, and her concert set at the Bristol Rhythm and Roots Reunion in Tennessee. We’re sad to hear that Loretta won’t be performing, but she’s going to need her rest if she plans to get back in the game soon.
Loretta’s postponed tour dates are following the sad news of her grandson’s passing in June 2016. Her eldest grandson, Jeffrey Allen Lynn, reportedly died unexpectedly at her Tennessee ranch at the age of 47, according to an official statement on her website. Our hearts go out to Loretta and her family as they continue to grieve.
Earlier this year in March 2016 Loretta released her new album, Full Circle, which was her first studio album in 12 years. Wow! The album features of a number of covers and original singles from the country singer, including the hits “Fist City” and “Always on My Mind.” Feel better soon, Loretta!
