Lady Gaga teased fans with a sneak peek at lyrics from her upcoming album, ‘Perfect Album’ on Twitter. The glimpse was brief, but it was enough to have the Little Monsters wondering — is her new song about ex-fiancé Taylor Kinney? Click through to see!
Perfect Illusion drops on September 9, but Lady Gaga did her little monsters a solid and shared this snippet of lyrics on September 7: “I don’t need eyes to see/I felt you touchin’ me/High like amphetamine/Maybe you’re just a dream” It’s unclear what song these lyrics are from, and the hashtag #PerfectIllusion could mean anything. Is this just from the album, or from its title song?
Either way, fans are wondering if Mother Monster’s painfully romantic lyrics are about her split from fiancé Taylor Kinney! The Chicago Fire star and Gaga broke up in July 2016 after five years together, and it was heartbreaking, to say the least. Gaga met Taylor on the set of her “You and I” music video in 2011. She played a mermaid and he played the hot dude who made out with her!
The longtime couple split over the summer because, as a source told us EXCLUSIVELY, he just wanted to settle down faster than she did. They had been engaged for 17 months at that point, so he may have been done waiting! However, Taylor may be trying to get her back. The actor is apparently hoping to rekindle their relationship and make it work again!
Gaga may feel the same way. The day after they broke up, she posted a cute Instagram announcing their split, and pretty much said this wasn’t the end: “Taylor and I have always believed we are soulmates. Just like all couples we have ups and downs, and we have been taking a break. We are both ambitious artists, hoping to work through long-distance and complicated schedules to continue the simple love we have always shared. Please root us on. We’re just like everybody else and we really love each other.”
