Are Halle Berry or Olivier Martinez getting divorced or not? A year after she and the ‘Unfaithful’ actor split, neither seem ready to make the divorce final. Well, if they don’t do something soon, their case is going to get tossed!
What gives? Halle, 50, and Olivier, 50, split in Oct. 2015, but the couple has dragged their feet ever since then, according to TMZ. The divorce court clerk is reportedly tired of waiting and issued an ultimatum to these estranged lovers. Either they proceed with the next step in their divorce or their case will be dismissed.
As shocking as this might be, Halle and Olivier are reportedly cool if the court trashes their divorce. Neither he nor the X-Men: Days of Future Past actress is in a rush to make the divorce final, as sources tell TMZ they’re fine if they stay married! Say what?
It seems that Olivier and Halle are “getting along great.” Despite their personal problems – and Olivier spending time with actress Ashley Greene, 29 — the two are still both involved in raising their son, 3-year-old Maceo, and Halle’s daughter, Nahla, 8, (from her previous relationship to model Gabriel Aubrey, 41). Halle reportedly thinks the divorce wouldn’t be good for her kids — or for her.
She’s reportedly not 100% positive that breaking things off with Olivier is the right thing to do, according TMZ. After two prior divorces (to David Justice, 50, and Eric Benet, 49) Halle’s not enthusiastic about being thrice divorced at her age. Plus, she reportedly thinks that once Olivier gets his alleged anger management issues under control, the two could actually make this marriage work.
This latest report of “cold feet” isn’t that far off, considering the joint statement the couple released when announcing their split. “It is with a heavy heart that we have come to the decision to divorce,” they said, per the NY Daily News, adding that they still have “love and respect for one another.” Maybe the love and respect was too much for them to pull the plug?
What do you think, HollywoodLifers? Do you think that Halle and Olivier should call off their divorce or should they make the split legal?
