She’s baaaaack! Just two weeks after losing her title at SummerSlam to Charlotte because of an injury, the WWE Diva returned to the ring on ‘Monday Night Raw’ Sept. 5 to give an emotional speech — and revealed when we’ll see her fight again. Watch here.
“This Revolution is more than WWE. This Revolution is every mother, every sister, every daughter. This Revolution is all of us,” Sasha Banks, 24, told the crowd when she came back to the WWE Sept. 5. “And my Revolution is every time I step in this ring. Every time I step in this ring, I do it for every little girl — every little girl who has a dream of being something bigger. Every person who dreams of being more; who have nothing and was told they couldn’t be anything great in life. I used to wake up at 6 a.m. with my mom to collect soda cans for money to come to a WWE show.
That’s why I fight so hard — because every time I’m in this ring, it means everything to me. At Summer Slam, I was pushed to my limits. Pushed beyond my limits. Charlotte tried to break my back. I’m not trying to make excuses, Charlotte beat me straight up. I’m out here because earlier today, I met with doctor and I have an update on my condition and I have some bad news…”
At this point, the 24-year-old was interrupted by Dana Brooke, 27, and Sasha proved she’s back and better than ever by fighting her, and crushing her with her epic finishing move. “The bad news is for Charlotte,” she concluded. “Let her know…at Clash of the Champions, that title is coming back to me.”
So, there you have it — Sasha is on her way to full recovery from her injury, and will fight again on Sept. 26, 2016, during the pay-per-view event. The fight takes place in Indianapolis.
HollywoodLifers, are you excited to see Sasha back in the WWE? Were you surprised she came back so soon?
