Gigi Hadid is one patient girlfriend, as she’s been going out of her way to help Zayn Malik deal with his devastating anxiety attacks. HollywoodLife.com has learned EXCLUSIVELY that the model takes hours out of her busy schedule to stay on the phone to help him cope with his crippling condition.
“Gigi has been doing everything she can to help Zayn overcome his anxiety and panic attacks. She is constantly giving him reassurance that he is safe and nothing bad is going to happen to him. When she’s away from Zayn, she texts him inspirational quotes from Deepak Chopra and Wayne Dyer,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. It’s so cool that Gigi, 21, follows the wisdom of the motivational gurus and is trying to pass along their important lessons to him.
“Gigi has a very calming affect on Zayn and will spend hours on the phone with him when he is having a bad day. She will remind him to take deep breaths and to do those things that relax him like drawing or painting. She does worry about him, but never shows it. She just stays as positive as she can when she’s helping him calm down,” our insider adds. What a sweetheart she is to care for his needs like that!
Zayn’s crippling anxiety problems have caused him to cancel yet another concert, this one in Dubai on Oct. 7. In a heartfelt message to fans he told them that for the past three months he’s been working to overcome the “extreme anxiety surrounding major live solo performances.” He noted that is making progress but that he wasn’t “sufficiently confident” enough to go through with the show. At least he’s giving ticket holders a heads-up this time, as opposed to his last big scheduled gig at London’s Capital FM Summertime Fest in June. Back then, he literally backed out just hours before going onstage after claiming to have suffered the “worst anxiety of my life.” We hope Zayn is getting the help he needs with his panic attacks, and it’s great to know Gigi is there to have his back when he’s at his worst.
HollywoodLifers, do you think Zayn’s career will be hurt if he can’t get his anxiety attacks under control?
