Chevy Chase is ready to make a change! The actor recently checked into rehab again due to an alcohol-related problem, according to a shocking new report. We’ve got the details on his plans for sobriety, right here.
We’re so glad to see Chevy Chase, 72, taking his heath and well-being seriously. The actor recently checked into rehab at the Hazelden Addiction Treatment Center in Minnesota, according to People. He’s been reportedly suffering with an alcohol-related issue, which his rep calls a “tune up” and is seeking help to get a become “the best that he can be.” That’s definitely a step in the right direction! Chevy has dealt with substance abuse before, having previously received addiction treatment at the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, Calif. in the 80s.
Chevy is set to hit the big screen again in two upcoming movies. He’ll be portraying Sonny in the drama Dog Years, alongside Burt Reynolds and Ariel Winter. In addition, he’ll also be featured in The Christmas Apprentice, a comedy which has already wrapped.
Since the actor has so much to look forward to, we’re hoping it will give him the inspiration he needs for his full recovery. Luckily, he appears to be in great hands, considering the Hazelden Addiction Treatment Center also helped out Robin Williams in 2014. The late actor reportedly visited the peaceful location to recharge after more than 18 straight months of work.
Chevy has made headlines a few times before, for not seeming like himself. In 2015, Chevy made an appearance on the 40th anniversary Saturday Night Live special and caused some concern. The original SNL 1975 cast member was seen heavily sweating and turning red during an interview with Carson Daly. To his defense, he could have been a bit nervous, but many fans were quick to comment on his changed appearance. We’re hoping that he can continue to look forward to a brighter future!
