Part one of the ‘Bachelor in Paradise’ finale is here — but many couples are still up in the air. And it didn’t help when a new girl showed up last minute.
Tiara, AKA the chicken enthusiast, was the new arrival on Bachelor in Paradise this week, but with everyone being so coupled up, Nick Viall decided to convince her to give him the date card so he could take out Jen. How sweet. (I’m sorry, this is awkward, right? We all know they don’t work out.) They went to a carnival (so romantic) for their date, where they went to a tarot card reader and well, the words “rough” and “watch out” were included. Luckily, Nick said all the right things afterward.
Meanwhile, Brett started to have a change of heart and head more toward Lauren H., and less toward Izzy. So he was upfront with him before breaking down and immediately regretting letting Vinny go. So she left paradise and called Vinny and asked for another chance — but he said no, for now. “You wanted to throw it all away a guy with a lamp.” Yikes! (But we have hope — we all saw them together in NYC recently.)
When it came down to the “last official rose ceremony,” there were a few relationships in the air. Specifically, Brett had to chose between Jami, Shushanna, and Ashley. Shu wasn’t into the “hunt” so she left. Apparently no one told her how the show worked? Anyway the obvious suspects went first at the rose ceremony: Josh chose Amanda, Nick chose Jen, Grant chose Lace and Evan chose Carly. Brett however, chose no one because he didn’t feel that spark; and Wells chose Ashley (yay!). Lauren H., Jami and Tiara were all sent packing.
So it was time for the fantasy suite. Obviously, pressure was on for Wells and Ashley, since she was still a virgin; he did not want to do that. So, he tells her he’s ready to go. Well that went downhill fast, and while they clearly had a connection, it was a little shocking to Ashley (understandably so) — and she left, too. However, in her defense she tweeted that no, she’d never lose her V-card in the fantasy suite.
And then there was eight. So it was time for final day dates and overnights. Naturally, Grant and Lace start out by getting “Grace” bracelets… then decide to get matching “GRACE” tattoos; just so you all know, those roman numerals that are on Grant’s arm are also from a relationship — it’s the flight number of the flight he met his ex on.
After being scared of what happened with Kirk last season, Carly was beyond ecstatic when she and Evan didn’t say they were just falling in love, but they were actually in love. Jen and Nick also admitted they were scared of doing long distance, but were both really into each other. Oh yeah, and Lace finally told Grant she loved him (after they got tattoos).
So which couples will get engaged? Tune in tomorrow! And let us know your predictions below.
