Whoa! Is Stephen Amell REALLY joining the cast of ‘American Ninja Warror’ next season? The ‘Arrow’ actor reached out to the athletic show’s official Twitter asking to compete in 2017, and what they replied was seriously heart-stopping! See the convo below.
OMG! Could Stephen Amell, 35, be the FIRST actor to appear on American Ninja Warrior? After fans discovered a crazy Twitter exchange between the ‘Arrow’ actor and the NBC show, it’s looking like Stephen is going to sign up next season. In his hit show, Stephen plays Oliver Queen, AKA Green Arrow — a billionaire business man who also fights crime on the side. Now, it sounds like Stephen will be putting all that stunt training to good use in 2017! Check out his Tweet.
Hey @ninjawarrior – I would like to compete on your show in 2017.

We accept. Can we borrow the Arrow Cave for the City Finals? https://t.co/4xwcO8RJC9

Nothing official has been confirmed yet, but it’s a good start that the show’s host, Matt Iseman, accepted Stephen’s offer right off the bat, and even boasted an Arrow-themed joke! Can you imagine the peak in RATINGS American Ninja Warrior would received if Stephen competed? It would be silly to pass on the once in a lifetime opportunity! For those of you not familiar with the show, think of it as a Tough Mudder type experience. Contestants from all walks up life sign up to compete in a challenging obstacle course, which resembles an adult jungle gym. The hardest part, however, comes LAST, when contestants come face-to-face with the WARPED WALL. The wall is capable of shattering dreams in a matter of seconds, and is arguably the most difficult to complete.
So far, there have been eight seasons full of tears and triumphs. The spin-off of the original Japanese show, Sasuke, American Ninja Warrior is one of those sporty series you just can’t switch off, like The Challenge or American Gladiators. There hasn’t been any news on season nine yet, but it goes without saying that we’d love to see Stephen — and maybe some of his co-stars — compete.
HollywoodLifers, do you think Stephen has what it takes to win?
