Hmm. Wills fans be pleased when ‘The Walking Dead’ returns for season 7 after leaving us hanging in the previous finale? Actress Melissa McBride feels confident that they will find closure!
The season six finale cliffhanger left The Walking Dead fans on the edge of their seats begging for more, which caused a bit of an uproar once it was over. However, actress Melissa McBride (aka Carol) has revealed that the months and months of waiting to find out who Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) brutally murdered will be totally worth it.
“It’s compelling and some people like cliffhangers, some people hate them, and that’s just part of the experience,” Melissa told Entertainment Weekly in an interview. “But I hope those people that feel jilted will tune in because the premiere is just going to be… oh God, it’s going to rock the walls. The wait is worth it. Whether you’re angry with it or whether you liked the cliffhanger or whether you’re pissed off about it, the wait is worth it.”
It’s fair to say that Melissa has enough inside information to know whether or not the scene we are all waiting for with bated breath is worth anticipating for so long. The good news is that we are going to learn who died in the season premiere, as previously confirmed, so once the episode starts we will hit the ground running. Or should I say… Negan will hit the skull? Egh, that might be too graphic for this.
For now we must continue the wait, though. The Walking Dead isn’t set to return until October 23 after it’s sister show, Fear The Walking Dead, wraps up it’s second season. The countdown is on!
