Is Baylee Curran fighting a losing battle? Her alleged criminal history was uncovered after she accused Chris Brown of threatening her with a gun, and a legal expert EXCLUSIVELY explains to HollywoodLife.com how her past could help Chris get the felony charge dropped!
“Chris Brown may claim that he was wrongfully accused by Baylee Curran which may get the felony charge dismissed,” Los Angeles attorney Mychal Wilson EXCLUSIVELY tells HollywoodLife.com. “Baylee…now appears to have a credibility issue which may hurt the prosecution’s case. This includes potential grand larceny allegations against [her] in New York regarding a stolen Michael Kors wallet and a $1,000 Louis Vuitton purse.”
“Additionally,” Mychal tells HollywoodLife.com, “[she] breached her contract with the Miss California Regional Pageant Organization and was dethroned as [Miss California Regional.] These factors hurt Baylee Curran’s credibility as the prosecution’s key witness.”
Those are not the only two incidents that are questioning Baylee’s credibility. After Chris, 27, booted Baylee, 25, over an argument about jewelry, she reportedly texted her friend Safari to allegedly say she was going to “set him up” by claiming Chris “tried to shoot [her.]” The text, which hasn’t been authenticated yet, matches a similar claim, as another one of Baylee’s friends, Christian Bonilla, claimed Baylee supposedly said Chris was “about to go down.”
Baylee could have meant that Chris was about to go down – to jail. After all, if he really did pull a gun on her and threaten her, like she claims, he could be facing some major time behind bars.
“Depending on the type of weapon Chris Brown allegedly used,” Mychal Wilson tells HollywoodLife.com. “He may be facing up to four years in state prison. There are also potential aggravating factors such as alleged illegal drugs and Chris Brown illegally possessing a firearm as a convicted felon.”
Even if Chris gets his felony charges dropped, he could still be in trouble. He could lose custody of his daughter, Royalty, 2. The lengthy standoff with police could give Nia Guzman, 33, all the evidence she needs for a judge to adjust custody rights, Father’s Rights Attorney David Pisarra EXCLUSIVELY tells HollywoodLife.com. Even if Chris avoids any jail time, he could still lose big.
What do you think about Chris possibly getting the charges dismissed due to Baylee’s “credibility issue,” HollywoodLifers? Whose side of the story do you believe?
