Barb. Is. Back. One of the most beloved characters in ‘Stranger Things’ returned (well, ‘Tonight Show’ head writer A.D. Miles dressed up as her) during an epic skit on August 31, featuring all the main kids and yes, Jimmy Fallon. Watch it here!
Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, and Caleb McLaughlin all appeared on The Tonight Show Wednesday to not only do an interview about season two possibilities, but to also do a parody skit with the help of Jimmy and A.D. Miles. In the skit, er “deleted scene,” Mike, Lucas, and Dustin are naturally, in the basement playing Dungeons and Dragons while Eleven sits with them munching on her waffles.
And in walks Steve — played by Jimmy — greeting the group with his good hair and one liner quips. However, it’s the next guest that we’re obsessed with. BARB. Everyone’s favorite victim immediately started grilling the kids for saving their friend Will, but forgetting all about Barb. “Nobody even cares I was missing! No search party for Barb, no fake corpse stuffed with cotton for Barb!” A.D. Miles screams, before coughing up a slug from the Upside Down.
“What the f—k. Did you forget about something?” he yells at the kids. “Did you forget about Barb? Nancy’s friend… There were two people down there and you rescued one of them. Do the math, a–holes.” That also included A.D. flipping off the kids. However, when asked if she’d be back for season two, she had quite the answer.
“No, because Barb’s getting her new Netflix spinoff, Orange is the new Bi-ch.”
Who else would totally watch that? The skit was hysterical, and made us very anxious for season two, which will hit Netflix in 2017 and pick up about a year later, in the fall of 1984. Our sister site, TVLine just reported that creators Matt and Ross Duffer are introducing a new girl, Max, who will be “tough and confident,” and will appear more like a boy than a girl. And instead of a bike, she uses a skateboard. As for Eleven’s return, that’s still “up in the air,” the brothers told EW.com.
