Did Luke Pell get Caila’d? Right after Nick Viall was announced as the new Bachelor for season 21, Luke thanked his fans for support and admitted he’d faced some ‘unexpected changes’ recently. Was he led to believe that he was going to be Bachelor?! Check out his reaction!
“Thx for all the love sometimes we are faced w/unexpected changes I’m happy to be back in Nash excited for the future,” Luke, 31, tweeted on Aug. 30. He also posted a photo of a quote that read, “Trust God’s timing, He has a plan for everything.”
Those are some very cryptic words, Luke! Many believed that Luke, who was a fan favorite on JoJo Fletcher’s season of The Bachelorette, would be named as the new Bachelor. The Bachelor creator Mike Fleiss, 52, posted a number of clues that hinted at Luke. Could Luke have experienced a situation just like Caila Quinn, 24?
Caila was reportedly chosen as the new Bachelorette and had even started filming. In a shocking twist, ABC reportedly ditched Caila and decided to go with JoJo instead. Maybe Luke has started filming first before producers made a final decision on Nick!
After being a runner-up on both Andi Dorfman, 31, and Kaitlyn Bristowe’s seasons of The Bachelorette, Nick, 35, headed to Bachelor in Paradise to find love again. Obviously, it didn’t work out for Nick in Mexico, but he’s finally going to be able to call the shots.
Host Chris Harrison, 45, revealed in a Aug. 30 Good Morning America interview why Nick was chosen as the Bachelor. Luke and Chase McNary, 27, were good choices, but producers just kept going back to Nick as the most deserving guy. Nick’s season of The Bachelor will air in Jan. 2017.
HollywoodLifers, do you think Luke should have been the Bachelor over Nick? Let us know!
