Is Kanye West burying the hatchet with Taylor Swift once and for all?! After calling her out in his VMAs rant, the rapper posted a surprising photo to Twitter, hinting that he wants to ‘unite’ with his on/off nemesis. Check it out here!
Kanye West, 39, took to Twitter on Aug. 29 to upload a photo of someone wearing a very interesting sweatshirt: It showed half of one of his album covers paired up with half of Taylor Swift’s 1989 album cover. He captioned the pic with the simple message, “Unity love.”
It’s unclear exactly what message ‘Ye is trying to make with this image, but it seems like he’s trying to get the point across that he respects Tay’s art in the same way he respects his own.
This move comes after the rapper stood by his argument that he called Taylor to warn her before he released the controversial “I made that b**** famous” lyric in his hit song “Famous” during his seven minute VMAs speech on Aug. 28. As Kim Kardashian’s Snapchats showed us, Yeezy did give the 26-year-old a call before dropping the song, but she’s still upset with him because she claims she was never told that he would be calling her a “b****” on the track.
Meanwhile, Taylor has kept quiet throughout the VMAs and the show’s aftermath. Instead of attending, she flew back to Nashville where she actually served jury duty on Aug. 29! Rocking an effortless, makeup-free look, the singer took selfies with other jurors and proved she’s literally just like one of us.
Obviously, Taylor has previously forgiven Kanye when they’ve feuded in the past, so hopefully these two will work it out again!
HollywoodLifers, do you think this is Kanye’s way of apologizing to Taylor? Do you think she’ll ever forgive him?
