Ben Affleck is such a tease! The actor, a.k.a. Batman, revealed brand-new footage of the villainous Deathstroke via Twitter on Aug. 29. The big bad foe is coming to the DC movie universe, and he’s ready to fight. Click to WATCH!
Ben, 44, posted a video of test footage featuring Deathstroke. In the video, the formidable villain is walking toward the camera and giving off one mean metal glare. The camera zooms in on Deathstroke, and we get a good look at the villain’s eye, but it’s not enough to decipher who’s playing him. With Ben’s video, Deathstroke is now CONFIRMED to be a part of the DC movie universe.
The footage is likely from Justice League, which is still currently filming. The movie stars Ben, Gal Gadot, 31, Ezra Miller, 23, Jason Momoa, 37, Henry Cavill, 33, and more. However, Deathstroke will be the main villain of the standalone Batman movie, The Wrap reports. Deathstroke is one of the most beloved villains in the DC universe. He’s a trained mercenary and assassin, who possesses enhanced skills and regenerative powers.
If Deathstroke is the main villain of the solo Batman movie, then we’ll probably just get an introduction to his character in Justice League, which is set to be released in Nov. 2017. It was rumored that Deathstroke would show up in Suicide Squad, but that never happened.
But what does this mean for Jared Leto’s The Joker? He was barely featured in Suicide Squad, and everyone’s been wondering if they were saving him for the standalone Batman film, which Ben is also directing. Ben’s Batman could be fighting multiple villains at once. Anything is possible!
HollywoodLifers, do you think Deathstroke is a good addition to the DC movie universe? Do you think he should be the main villain of the solo Batman movie? Let us know!
