We are FREAKING out! Beyonce just made everyone’s night by taking the 2016 MTV VMAs stage August 28 to perform ‘Pray You Catch Me’! BUT, she created CHAOS throughout the audience when she basically performed most of her ‘Lemonade’ album! Watch her jaw-dropping performance here!
Is everyone ok?! Beyonce, 34, just SLAYED at the MTV VMAs, shocking us all with yet another surprise stage appearance! The queen gave us a mini concert when she set the stage on fire with most of her chart-topping album! She started off with ‘Pray You Catch Me’ and we thought that was going to be it, and then she broke out into an entire rendition of Lemonade and we still can’t breathe! Watch part of “Pray You Catch Me” below!
Audio from her visual album, Lemonade, played in the beginning of the performance as Bey stood on stage, animately burning in flames of fire while wearing all white. It was a slow start with her first hit, then she rolled right into “Hold Up” and things got crazy really fast!
She belted out the anthem while in a black, long-sleeved body suit and knee-high boots. Her long, blonde, wavy locks flew in the wind as she set the stage on FIRE and she even smashed the camera with a baseball bat just like in her video! The crowd went wild while as she danced and jumped throughout the VMAs stage and we are seriously still blown away!

Bey looked bold as ever as she strutted across the stage when more audio from her album played. Next, we were gifted with, “Sorry” and we could barely handle it! Bey seriously starred into the camera as she ended the song with the infamous lyrics, “You better call Becky with the good hair,” while grabbing her hair! WOW!
BUT it was NOT over yet! She tossed on a white fur coat that was spotted black with red details, licked her lips into the camera, and rocked out with “Don’t Hurt Yourself.” She crouched down and ended the song surrounded by fire! The crowd seriously went WILD and we thought she was done — Until we heard the start of “Formation” and Bey said “Y’all came to slay then sing along with me.” Back to her tight, black, bodysuit, she closed her INSANE album performance with “Formation” and we’re actually still in shock over her amazing moves. SHE. SIMPLY. SLAYED.

As expected, Beyonce received an incredible standing ovation after her performance! Serena Williams, 34, stepped up introduce her good friend before she hit the stage and said, “she is now here to change the game in New York City.” AW! She even reminisced about her own cameo in Bey’s visual album. There couldn’t have been a better person to introduce the singer!
Fans have been going crazy since August 25, after rumors surfaced that Bey was going to open the show. Obviously that didn’t happen because Rihanna, 28, started the show with an awesome performance! Then on August 27 word started to fly about Bey still surprising us with an appearance, but this time it was caused by MTV. They posted a photo of the “Sorry” singer from her epic Lemonade visual album on the big screen outside Madison Square Garden, clearly advertising that Bey would be there.
Then, on the day of the show just a mere two hours before the red carpet, the network tweeted Beyonce would indeed be performing! Talk about a last minute surprise…but she always keeps up guessing, and that’s what we love about the “Hold Up” singer. After leading the pack of artists in nominations it was only right that she had to take the stage, and she absolutely killed it! Not to mention, she owned the 2016 BET Awards stage when she opened the show on June 26. Bey performed her hit song, “Freedom” with Kendrick Lamar, 29, and that too was a rumored performance! Beyonce has been pretty busy on her Formation World Tour. However, her next stop isn’t until September 7 in New Jersey, so we’re glad she doesn’t have to jet set anywhere quick after her performance (that we know of)! Hopefully she enjoys herself at some VMA after-parties before her tour kicks back up again!
