How has it been 20 years since ‘7th Heaven’ hit our TVs? We’re asking the same thing, but on August 26, 1996, the life lessons started rolling in from Reverend Camden and the gang. Beverley Mitchell, AKA Lucy Camden, starred in every one of the 243 episodes of the show, so how does she feel looking back?
“It’s so crazy and now I feel really old. That was a long time ago,” Beverley Mitchell, now 35, told HollywoodLife.com exclusively at the 2016 Television’s Critics Association’s Summer press tour. “It was an amazing time in my life, to be on a show for 11 years its a once and a lifetime situation. I’m very grateful for the experience, and I’m grateful for the family that I’ve gotten.” Of course, she also laughed and told us it’s weird that it was 20 years ago because she really, physically, doesn’t feel old. “I still feel like that awkward 15 year old!”
7th Heaven ran for 11 seasons from 1996 to 2007. It debuted on The WB, but the final season aired during the first year of The WB becoming The CW. Last February, some of the cast actually reunited — Beverley, Barry Watson, Mackenzie Rosman and Catherine Hicks, posed for a family photo with Jessica Biel at her restaurant, Au Fudge!
Now, Beverley is heading back to her roots with two other 90s stars — Full House‘s Jodie Sweetin and Step By Step‘s Christine Lakin. The three will star in a new docu-comedy, Hollywood Darlings coming to Pop Network soon, following the three lifelong friends who grew up as kid stars and grew into working mothers. So, could we see some of Beverly’s 7th Heaven costars on the show?
Well, probably not — but maybe Full House or Step by Step. “There are a lot of talks,” Christine said. “I’m trying to get Suzanne Somers away from her thigh master to come and grace us with her presence. I think our fans and fans of the ’90s will be very excited to see some of the people we have lined up.”
