Jennifer Lawrence has got one big bank account. The ‘Hunger Games’ star beat out Melissa McCarthy and Scarlett Johansson to land the top spot for the 2nd year in a row. Here’s who else made the list.
Jennifer Lawrence is on top of the world! The actress topped Forbes‘ annual ranking of well-paid celebs once again, having earned $46 million this year. It’s a few mil shy of the $52 million she earned last year, but who’s complaining? Melissa McCarthy, 45, is in second place with $33 million, while Scarlett Johansson isn’t far behind, with $25 million. You can check out the rest of the list here.
JLaw has had an incredible year, so it’s not at all surprising that she’s #1. The final Hunger Games movie was released in November, and her Oscar-nominated role in Joy and advanced pay for Passengers also contributed to her financial success, not to mention X-Men: Apocalypse. It’s always a good idea to make acting choices that span multiple genres and franchises, eh?
Jennifer Aniston is in fourth place with $21 million, moving up one spot from last year — she made a chunk of change from endorsements like Smartwater, Aveeno and Living Proof. Fan Bingbing, Charlize Theron, Amy Adams, Julia Roberts, Mila Kunis and Deepika Padukone also made the Top 10 list. Yesss, ladies!
Of course, Melissa landing at number two isn’t anything to sneeze at. Melissa obviously starred in one of the hugest movies of the summer — heard of Ghostbusters? — and came out with her own clothing line. While we’re bummed Mike & Molly won’t be returning to our screens, there’s a lot to look forward to from Melissa, including Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life. Can’t wait!
