Grace VanderWaal brought her A-game in her second ‘America’s Got Talent’ performance, but so did her competition in the last week of the live shows. Did Grace have what it took to make it to the semifinals? Find out who made it and who didn’t right here!
The acts that were in danger of being eliminated were: Linkin’ Bridge, Malevo, and Ronee Martin. It seemed the audience was most upset about Malevo being on the line, but ultimately it was going to come down to the rest of America’s votes for this one.
The first two acts to face elimination were Alla and Daniel and Kadan Bart Rockett, and I had a pretty good feeling I knew who was through. But America voted, and the first act going to the semifinals was Kadan Bart Rockett! Not super surprising, but I’ll miss seeing the dancing mom and son duo!
WHOA, already we find out Grace’s fate. Didn’t see that coming so soon. But she’s up against Brian Justin Crum, and there was something telling me that neither of these incredible singers were going home. Am I right? ….YES!
Next facing a cut was Julia Scotti, Vello Vaher, and Edgar. I’ll be honest, I was crossing my fingers for Edgar — and luckily that’s who made it through! But I’ll seriously miss Julia Scotti, she was such an awesome person to watch. Let’s take a look at her hilarious routine one more time huh?
Now it’s the Passing Zone and Blake Vogt. And the next act through was Blake Vogt! Looks like we’ll have a lot of magicians battling it out in the semis!
Side note: there was an Olympics-themed competition with Simon Cowell ranking his co-judges on various things like “Who is the most irritating” and “Who has the worst accent” and it was so funny. I’m hoping AGT shares that video on their YouTube channel because that was too much.
Okay, here goes the Dunkin’ Donuts save vote. The act America didn’t want to see go is: Malevo! Let’s be honest, who doesn’t want to see more of a bunch of ripped Argentinian men dance around the AGT stage?
So who did the judges save between Linkin’ Bridge and Ronee Martin? Mel B was first to vote, and she chose Linkin’ Bridge. Howie Mandel was next, and he also gave the vote to the “inspirational” Linkin’ Bridge. Heidi Klum put Simon in a tough place because she gave one vote to Ronee, but Simon knew that he wanted Linkin’ Bridge in the semis, so voila! They are!
And there you have it. The final seven acts joining the rest of the remaining contestants in the semifinals are: Kadan Bart Rockett, Grace VanderWaal, Brian Justin Crum, Edgar, Blake Vogt, Malevo, and Linkin’ Bridge. Talk about a talented bunch of people!
