Jessica Alba totally slayed the red carpet with a ’60s-inspired beauty look for the premiere of her new movie, ‘Mechanic: Resurrection,’ in Los Angeles. The actress and businesswoman broke out the brand new hair products from her Honest Beauty line to get the look, and we have all the info you need on her gorgeous retro hairstyle, ahead.
Jessica Alba, 35, just gave us all the fall beauty inspo we need. The mom of two traded in her usual 5-minute makeup routine on August 22nd, to promote her latest film with a glam red carpet look. The Honest Company co-founder rocked a ’60s-inspired plum smokey eye and volumized half-up hairstyle that gave us some major Brigitte Bardot vibes, and surprisingly, came courtesy of her own all-natural beauty line.
Having just announced the launch of her hair care at Ulta, Jessica turned to her brand new line and Honest Hair Care Ambassador, hairstylist Jennifer Yepez, for her volumized, wavy style. The line, which includes styling products in addition to its shampoos and conditioners, is formulated with natural ingredients like coconut juice, white tea and algae.
To get Jessica’s look, Jennifer started by applying the Honest Beyond Hydrated Moisture Milk Leave-In Conditioner, $20, from the mid-shaft to ends of her hair while it was still damp. Then, she applied the Honest Honestly Protected Heat Defense Spray, $24, and Honest Honestly Uplifted Volumizing Spray, $24, through her hair before blow drying it in upwards motions for more volume. For loose waves, Jennifer curled medium sections of Jess’ hair around a 1.25″ curling wand, leaving her roots and ends out for a more natural finish and alternating the direction of the curls. For the volumized half-up finish, Jennifer teased her hair at the crown and pulled the top section back, bobby pinning it under to finish the look.
Jessica’s makeup artist (and Honest Beauty Creative Color Consultant), Daniel Martin, completed her look with a gorgeous plum smokey eye. Using the dark purple shadow from the Honest Beauty Falling For You Makeup Palette, $35, that he created, Daniel added several coats of black mascara to Jess’ lashes and a neutral lip to finish the look.
