Wow. Is Ryan Lochte headed to rehab after lying about being robbed at gunpoint in Brazil? A shocking new interview has surfaced, and you NEED to see what he’s saying about taking control of his life again.
Ryan Lochte, 32, stopped to chat candidly with TMZ in the airport on Monday, August 22, and revealed that going to rehab has not been ruled out just yet. When asked whether or not he was considering the idea, Ryan wouldn’t deny it and explained that whatever he does next needs to be discussed with his family first.
“You know, I don’t know. I can’t answer that question right now,” Ryan responded during the somber interview, in which he was very calm and collected while talking to the videographer. “Right now I need to just see my family and talk with them about it.”
As the interview continued, Ryan shared that it would be devastating for him if the Olympics committee were to decide he can not perform on Team USA in 2020. “I think if the USOC says I can’t swim anymore I think that would be the most hurtful,” Ryan said. “That would be heartbreaking.”
Ryan also shared that he has “always looked up to” Michael Phelps, his fellow Team USA swimmer. Hopefully Michael can help his longtime friend and competitor Ryan get back on the right track after this upsetting scandal.
