Broadway dancer Marcus Bellamy has been accused of murdering his boyfriend Bernardo Almonte in NYC, according to a horrific new report. And he may have allegedly posted about the chilling death on Facebook. Click through to read his bizarre posts.
Marcus Bellamy, 32, known for appearing in Broadway shows like Spider-Man Turn Off The Dark and Tarzan, was charged with manslaughter and murder for allegedly killing his boyfriend, Bernardo Almonte, 27, on August 19.
in the Morris Heights section of the Bronx, according to the NYPD, after the couple reportedly had a blowout fight. Following the fight, Marcus reportedly called a neighbor, who then called 911; Marcus waited for police, and surrendered peacefully.
When police arrived at Marcus and Bernardo’s home in the Morris Heights section of the Bronx around 4:00pm, they found him suffering from head trauma, and immediately whisked him to the hospital, according to an NYPD spokesperson. “Someone who lives in the building saw [Marcus] walking out of the building with blood on his hands then inquired what happened and [Marcus] made reference that he ‘hurt’ the victim,” the spokesperson told People.
It appeared that the couple had possibly had a fight; the neighbor who saw Marcus called 911, followed him back into the apartment, and reportedly found Bernardo lying facedown on the floor, unconscious. Police rushed him to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Around the same time that police arrived to help Bernardo, Marcus began posting strange and sinister messages to his Facebook timeline. He seemed to allegedly confess to the murder. “I did it for love,” the first message read. “Lucifer.” “I am god. I give life and can take it away. So let it be. #the rapture,” read another.
“Forgive me. I did it because I love you. I love you all. I loved him also. He told me love and hate are the same emotion. Forgive me. I know not what I do. I did it for love. For god. On high.” The messages still remain on his page as of publishing. It’s unclear at this time what legal ramifications Marcus will face for the alleged crime.
