Gone, but not forgotten. Justin Timberlake remembered NSYNC’s former manager, Lou Pearlman, via Twitter over the weekend after his passing on Aug. 19. Click here to see Justin’s heartfelt message to the man who launched his career.
Unless you’ve been living under a VERY big rock since the ’90s, you are aware Justin Timberlake, 35, is one of the most well-known singer’s in the world today. But, if it weren’t for Lou Pearlman, we may have never been exposed to the amazingness that is JT. And it seems like the “Can’t Stop The Feeling!” singer is well aware of that fact too, as he took to Twitter on Aug. 21 to mourn the loss of Lou, the man responsible for the creation of ’90s boy bands like NSYNC and the Backstreet Boys.
I hope he found some peace. God bless and RIP, Lou Pearlman.

“I hope he found some peace. God bless and RIP, Lou Pearlman,” the former NSYNC member tweeted on Aug. 21, two days after Lou died in prison at the age of 62. The singer’s heartfelt message means even more if you know the full story behind NSYNC’s relationship with Lou, who ended up being sued by them, as well as acts like the Backstreet Boys, who alleged that he had robbed them of millions. So, the fact that Justin was able to put what are sure to be dark memories behind him and honor the life of someone who did help launch his career is so touching. Good for you JT!
Shortly after the successful creation of the Backstreet Boys in 1996, Lou followed them up with his second boy band, NSYNC. The band — comprised of Justin, JC Chasez, Chris Kirkpatrick, Joey Fatone and Lance Bass — went on to sell more than 55 million records. NSYNC’s website was down on Aug. 21 after the news of Lou’s passing. It is nice to see that no matter what went down between the band and Lou that Justin was able to let bygones be bygones when it came to respecting a man’s life. So touching.
