Katt Williams has found himself in trouble with the law again. The comedian now faces up to six months in jail for attacking a woman, according to a shocking new report. We’ve got all the details on his new legal battle, right here.
Say it ain’t so. Katt Williams, 44, is in hot water with the cops AGAIN. He has now been slapped with a lawsuit from the Los Angeles City attorney, who is charging him with misdemeanor battery for allegedly punching a woman. The comedian was previously arrested at Sportsmen Lodge in Studio City, after getting in an altercation with a female worker on July 24, according to TMZ. When police arrived, they did reportedly noticed minor injuries on her. Officials also said Katt only reacted when he felt “disrespected” by the tone in which she spoke to him. If he is indeed convicted of these charges, he could face up to six months jail time.
Katt certainly is no stranger to controversy. The stand-up comic last got in trouble when he picked a fight with a 17-year-old kid on March 23, which even went viral since the embarrassing incident was caught on video. Law enforcement officials then opened up a criminal investigation, to see if he violated his bail agreement at that time. He was already facing multiple assault charges, so he did later get brought into custody and was charged for disorderly conduct.
Even though Katt’s had an incredibly successful career as a comedian, his talents have often been overshadowed by his encounters with the law. He was also arrested this year on March 8, after police found marijuana and firearms in his home following a raid. Katt has been taken away in cuffs on at least 11 incidents. He’s gotten so used to it that he even poses for his mug shots. We’re hoping the rock star comic can get back on his A-game, so we don’t have to watch him continue in his downward spiral. We’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for what happens next with his latest legal battle.
