Prepare to have nightmares until the end of time. The first full-length photo of Bill Skarsgard as the evil clown Pennywise has arrived, and he’s scarier than we ever could have imagined. Click to see the terrifying photo!
If you’re scared of clowns, run now. Bill, 26, completely transforms into the iconic clown at the center of Stephen King’s 1986 novel It. In the photo, courtesy of Entertainment Weekly, Pennywise stares you down and looks into the depths of your soul with his menacing eyes. He’s got one creepy grin on his face and is dressed head-to-toe in clown attire. This new Pennywise is rocking red hair like the original clown, but Bill’s version has a much darker hue. See the photo below!

Bill’s new Pennywise has a much more sinister look that Tim Curry’s original Pennywise. Tim’s Pennywise outfit featured bright colors and stark white clown paint. The new Pennywise costume is mostly a dusky gray, and he looks like he’s been in the sewer for ages. His clown outfit is seriously dirty.
“The costume definitely incorporates all these otherworldly past lives, if you will,” the film’s costume designer, Janie Bryant, told the outlet. “He is definitely a clown from a different time.”
The 1986 TV mini-series became an instant horror classic, and the 2017 film, set to be released on Sept. 8, 2017, hopes to have the same impact on moviegoers. “It’s important that we do something fresh and original for this one. It’s purposely not going toward that weird, greasy look,” Bill told EW.
