To get in the best shape of her life after giving birth, Blake Lively made ONE major change to her diet. The actress had just eight months to tone up for her bikini-clad role in ‘The Shallows,’ and ahead, she shares her secret.
Blake Lively, 28, is basically the most stunning pregnant woman to ever exit. But in her most recent summer thriller, The Shallows, Blake also looked pretty amazing showing off her post-baby body in a bikini throughout the entire film.
With filming beginning just eight months after giving birth to her and Ryan Reynolds‘ first child together, James, Blake had to totally commit to her diet and workout routine. Speaking with Australian radio hosts Kyle and Jacki O. on August 16, Blake said her post-baby diet meant “No processed foods.”
Going on to explain exactly what this entailed, Blake said, “What we actually did was no gluten and no soy. It seems like it was really easy to cut out but you realise there is soy in everything,” she said. “Even if it’s healthy, whole foods or organic stuff there’s always soy in it.”
In addition to eating clean, Blake also trained with Don Saladino and revealed that shooting the film was like a constant workout because of all of the swimming she was doing. Don also shared that it was all about hydrating and eating properly — like Blake’s typical breakfast of eggs cooked in coconut oil and veggies or gluten-free oats with fruit.
Would you ever try to cut processed foods from your diet, HollywoodLifers?
