Irina Shayk turned into a blonde bombshell for the September issue of ‘Vogue’ Russia! The model, who usually sports long brunette locks, temporarily went blonde for her latest cover. Get the details, ahead!
Irina Shayk, 30, knows that a major magazine cover calls for the major makeover to match. The Russian-born model covered her country’s September Vogue with blonde hair that was styled into beachy waves — and naturally, she totally pulled it off.
Irina actually hinted at her Vogue Russia cover several months ago when she shared a few Instagram pics of herself with blonde hair, teasing the upcoming project. Though she recently shared another picture on her Instagram from the shoot with the caption “When [you] learn that blondes have more fun,” Irina was immediately back to brunette, leaving us wondering whether this was an actual dye job or just a very convincing wig.
Shay Ashual was behind Irina’s blonde makeover and has also created hair makeovers for other celeb magazine covers, including Taylor Swift‘s platinum moment on Vogue. Makeup artist Isamaya Ffrench made sure Irina’s blonde hair did all of the statement-making by keeping her skin bronzed and glowing with a neutral matte lip, glossy lids and bold brows.
Having recently covered Vogue Japan and Germany, Irina shared her enthusiasm for her Russia cover in an Instagram post where she wrote: “Wow.. Can’t believe I’m on the September issue of @voguerussia.. over 10 years modeling, and yet another moment I will never forget❤️ Thank u to everyone who was part of this journey so far, and finally my home country for this cover story!
