‘Fast and Furious 8’ star Vin Diesel couldn’t have been more eager to speed off set following a heated fight with co-star Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, according to an Aug. 10 report. After Vin filmed his final scenes with The Rock, he left the production — without resolving their feud!
The storm rages on! Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, 44, and Vin Diesel, 49, had a secret meeting on Aug. 9 to try and talk it out over The Rock’s Facebook rant against his male co-stars, but TMZ reports that the air hasn’t been cleared at all. The site says that instead, Vin fled the set “minutes after wrapping his final scene”, though he took a few moments to gather the cast and crew to tell them he was leaving. “During his speech, he said, ‘Daddy’s gone’, [as] Vin thinks of himself as the father figure on set,” the site adds. Well, it sounds like Vin would love nothing more than to cut The Rock off the family tree!
TMZ does say that Vin “didn’t leave anyone high and dry” by leaving, as the studio cleared him for exit — his beef is with The Rock and The Rock only. The latter is shooting his last scene tomorrow, Aug. 10, and the movie wraps for good in a week. Guess we’ll have to see if distance between the feuding co-stars makes their hearts grow fonder…at least enough to smile and wave for the cameras during premiere time!
ICYMI, The Rock made disparaging comments against his male cast members in a social media rant on Aug. 8. His use of name-calling totally pissed off his co-stars — male and female alike — and has made the on-set atmosphere tense.
