We all saw the messiness that was ‘Chace’ on night one of ‘Bachelor in Paradise.’ But where do they stand now? Well, it’s not exactly a steady place. During ‘After Paradise’ on Aug. 9, they came face to face once again.
In case you missed it, on the premiere of Bachelor in Paradise, Lace Morris and Chad Johnson were drawn to each other and immediately started a back-and-forth mixed with making out, screaming, pushing, slapping… you know, a very intense situation. However, at some point he went too far in her mind (calling her a c–t), and she was no longer on his side.
So what happened? “You flipped switch because you would rather have Bachelor Nation and all of the other contestants on your side,” Chad said to Lace on After Paradise on her “weird stopping point where she started being more aware of what people thought.” For Lace, she said he “started getting a little aggressive,” and she felt herself returning back to “the old Lace,” so she sobered up.”
With that, she has a strong feeling that Chad should not be able to return to the franchise.
“I just don’t think he cares about anyone but himself,” she said. But Chad’s answer was loud and clear: “Let’s be honest, everything that I did was egged on by her. If she didn’t want to do the whole pushing, shoving, joking thing, I would never have done that. But I thought that’s what we wanted.”
As for Chad, he didn’t go on the show to change his image. “I’m not trying to redeem myself,” he said. “I don’t care if people think I’m a good person or a bad person. That was not my whole plan. I’m not pulling a Nick Viall here and being like, I’m a good person now, please like me. I’m not trying to pawn teeth whitener on Instagram.”
HollywoodLifers, do you think that Chad should be able to return to another season of The Bachelor franchise? Where would you want to see him? Let us know!
