If you thought it was ‘Bye, Bye, Bye’ for good, think again! Leading man Justin Timberlake and the members of NSYNC reunited and even sang together to celebrate JC Chasez’s 40th birthday on Aug. 8. Watch the nostalgic video below for your daily dose of the 90’s!
Backstreet’s back? Not quite! Just when you thought the boyband trend was falling apart at the seams (just look at One Direction), NSYNC decided to rise from the ashes and restore your faith in humanity. It was a family reunion at JC Chasez‘s 40th birthday bash on Aug. 8 at The Nice Guy Lounge hotspot in West Hollywood, where Justin Timberlake, 35, Joey Fatone, 39, Lance Bass, 37, and Chris Kirkpatrick, 44, joined together to sing for the first time since their amazing VMAs performance in 2013.
Okay, don’t get too excited — instead of serenading their friends with one of their classics like “It’s Gonna Be Me,” they only sang JC a “Happy Birthday” tune. But still, pretty amazing, huh?! Check it out below.
It’s quite impressive to see these six boys together again since they split in 2002. When NSYNC formed in 1995, Justin and the gang were only TEENAGERS! But as time goes on, boys turn into men, and life gets a little more complicated. Since their rise to fame, Lance publicly came out as gay, Justin married Jessica Biel and had a baby, Joey competed on Dancing With The Stars and landed small supporting movie roles, JC worked as head judge on America’s Best Dance Crew, and Chris went on to guest star on The Simpsons and in a few popular music videos.
But on the night of JC’s 40th, there was only one thing on the guys’ minds — having a good time! By the time they left The Nice Guy lounge, it was pretty clear that Justin had a few drinks inside the venue. As the singer was walking towards his car, he yelled at the paparazzi to “shut the f— up,” according to TMZ. Joey also appeared a little tipsy, but looked happy to see the flashing cameras. How we wish we could have been there!
