Donald Trump took his horrifying rhetoric to a new level and shockingly suggested that his supporters invoke their second amendment rights against Hillary Clinton. Click through to watch footage of his dangerous, reckless remarks.
In some deep, dark part of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump‘s brain, he somehow found the necessity to tell his supporters during an August 9 speech in Wilmington, North Carolina, that they should use their second amendment rights to stop Hillary Clinton.
“Hillary essentially wants to abolish the second amendment. If she gets to pick her judges — nothing you can do, folks. Although the second amendment people, maybe there is, I don’t know,” Trump said to nervous laughter in the audience at his NC rally.
Is that message clear enough? Trump is heavily implying that his supporters assassinate his political rival, and he said so in a careless, offhanded manner. It’s one of the most dangerous things he’s ever said.

In a statement after the backlash following the speech, the Trump camp responded that the “dishonest media” had again painted the presidential nominee as a bad guy: “It’s called the power of unification,” Jason Miller, senior communications adviser for Trump’s campaign said in a statement.
“Second Amendment people have amazing spirit and are tremendously unified, which gives them great political power. And this year, they will be voting in record numbers, and it won’t be for Hillary Clinton, it will be for Donald Trump.”
Hillary’s campaign, however, is not buying that excuse. Hillary’s campaign manager, Robby Mook, said in a statement released on Twitter, “This is simple — what Trump is saying is dangerous. A person seeking to be the President of the United States should not suggest violence in any way.” You would think that would go without saying!
