When UFC star Conor McGregor was asked about whether he’d ever move to the WWE, he insulted the WWE guys in a huge rant. Well, Hall of Famer Ric Flair was never going to take that sitting down — see how he responded with an explosive rant of his own on Twitter and accused Conor of ripping off his image!
Conor McGregor, 28, blasted pro wrestlers in an interview, calling them “messed up”: “For the most part, those WWE guys are (expletive). To be honest, they’re messed up (expletive) if you ask me. Fair play to Brock [Lesnar], he got in a fight but at the end of the day he’s juiced up to the (expletive) eyeballs so how can I respect that?” Ouch.
Ric Flair‘s Aug. 7 response was equally hot-blooded. “Coming from a guy who built a career copying my persona, I expected the type of class we get from Ronda or Anderson,” he said in one of three tweets. “After Diaz finishes you again, I dare you to try guys like Dolph, Brock, or Fit. Oh you’re welcome for your gimmick,” he added. “If anyone doubts whether or not Doloh could tie Conor in a knot, do yourself a favor and Google his accomplishments.” Yikes!

Conor later clarified that he didn’t mean to offend:
I didn't mean no disrespect to the @wwe fans. What I meant to say was that I'd slap the head off your entire roster. And twice on Sunday's.

It did little to ease the situation, though, and Ric wasn’t the only WWE star to call out McGregor for what he said. “Your the size of my leg. Shut up,” Roman Reigns tweeted. “Very funny little guy. Why don’t you get your head out of Dana White’s ass?” Kurt Angle asked. Oh, man!
