Wait, WHAT?! Jared Leto just shocked everyone by revealing that ‘a lot’ of his Joker scenes didn’t make it into the final cut of ‘Suicide Squad.’ Is there any hope fans will get to see these scenes?!
Fans, prepare to be outraged. “There are a lot of scenes that didn’t make it to the final film, hopefully they will see the light of day,” Jared, 44, told TeleStar. “Who knows.”
Is this real life?! Jared’s debut at The Joker has been one (if not the most) highly-anticipated aspect of Suicide Squad, so the fact that many of his scenes were cut is downright shocking. Jared, whose character is not a part of the official Suicide Squad created by Amanda Waller (Viola Davis), isn’t featured in the movie nearly as much in the movie as co-stars Will Smith, 47, and Margot Robbie, 26. However, every time Jared is on the big screen, he totally steals the show. His dark, twisted and over-the-top Joker makes evil look so good.
Director David Ayer confirmed to Collider that there’s “definitely over 10 minutes” of deleted scenes that were cut out of Suicide Squad that will likely be on the Blu-Ray. When asked if Joker and Harley Quinn scenes are a part of those 10 minutes, David offered a cryptic “maybe.”
We have a feeling Suicide Squad is just the beginning Jared’s Joker journey. The Oscar winner recently spoke to Good Morning America and said Suicide Squad was just an “introduction” to his Joker. He called The Joker the “role of a lifetime” and definitely teased the idea of a spinoff movie. Just give us more Joker and Harley Quinn, please! Suicide Squad is now in theaters.
HollywoodLifers, are you shocked that some of Jared’s Joker scenes were cut from the movie? Do you want to see more of him? Let us know!
