Keith Urban and Maren Morris aren’t just tour mates, they’re also fans of each other! The superstar singers each sang covers of each other’s songs on social media this week, and it’s beyond amazing. Check ’em both out here!
As an up-and-coming country artist, Maren Morris, 26, is super lucky to be opening for Keith Urban on his Ripcord tour this summer — so of course she had to show him some love during a soundcheck on Aug. 2. While warming up her vocals, the 26-year-old sand a rendition of Keith’s “Blue Ain’t Your Color,” and it’s beyond breathtaking. Check it out above!
Meanwhile, Keith returned the favor by jamming out to Maren’s new hit, “80s Mercedes” while on a short break from the road, as well. When selecting openers for his Summer 2016 tour, Keith hand-picked Maren after hearing this jam, and he sounds pretty darn good singing it, too!
Maren and Keith have been on tour all summer long, and if you like their voices separately, you should hear them together. During each show, the “My Church” singer joins Keith during his set to sing Miranda Lambert’s part on the song “We Were Us,” and it’s easily one of the best parts of the concert.
The Ripcord tour, which also features Brett Eldredge, continues through the fall, closing out with a show in Brooklyn, New York on Nov. 19. Then, Keith heads back home to Australia and New Zealand for a string of shows with Carrie Underwood right before the holidays — what a year it’s been for the Aussie country star, huh!? And now that Maren’s made her mark on country music, we have a feeling she won’t be going anywhere, anytime soon!
HollywoodLifers, what do you think of Maren and Keith’s covers of each other’s songs?
