![Hayden Panettiere arrives at her younger brother Jansen's celebration of life event in their hometown of Palisades, New York, with her on/off boyfriend Brian Hickerson. The grieving actress wore a colorful bomber jacket and black pants as she attended the memorial at the scenic Palisades Presbyterian Church alongside her mother Lesley Vogel and father Alan ‘Skip’ Panettiere, on Wednesday morning. Jansen’s girlfriend Cat Michie, who has posted a heartfelt tribute to him on social media, was also seen at the venue. ‘Scream, 6’ star Hayden, 33, was expected to speak at the event, which was being held in remembrance of the 28-year-old former child actor, who died last month due to an enlarged heart. A friend of the former actor told officials he'd checked on Jansen at home after he'd failed to show up for a business meeting. Upon arrival, he was found sitting upright in a chair unresponsive. Jansen's dad, Skip, had spoken to his son on the phone just the night before, and thought he "sounded okay." Following her recent stint in rehab for postpartum depression, Hayden Panettiere, 26, was spotted spending some major quality time with her dad, Skip Panettiere. And the sweet duo were all smiles as they chatted while making their way around New York City’s Tribeca neighborhood on Aug. 3. What a great way to spend a summer afternoon!

Even better, the Nashville star appeared to be in great spirits as she sported a colorful jacket with fringe embellishments, skinny jeans, and moccasin-styled booties. She also wore a peach-colored crossbody purse while she kept her blonde locks tied up in a topknot — talk about effortless street style at its finest!

We also love that her dad came out to visit Hayden, as she’s been in New York ever since finishing her second stint in a treatment center for postpartum depression. For those of you who don’t remember, the actress announced she’d be reentering rehab back in May. “The Postpartum depression I have been experiencing has impacted every aspect of my life,” she tweeted.
“Rather than stay stuck due to unhealthy coping mechanisms I have chosen to take time to reflect holistically on my health and life. Wish me luck!” We totally respect Hayden for making the decision to get healthy again, as it couldn’t have been an easy choice to temporarily leave her daughter, Kaya Klitschko, 1, and her fiancé, Wladimir Klitschko, 40.
But throughout her struggle with postpartum, Hayden has been super open about her journey, saying in September that she isn’t ashamed to talk about it in order to shed light. “She is trying to take care of herself. She wanted to get herself healthy again,” an inside source revealed to People mag at the time Hayden announced she was heading back to rehab. “The postpartum has been really scary for everybody, but she’s taking care of it. She’s taking care of herself.”
