After many many weeks of laughter, tears, a lot of making out, and more tears, it all comes down to this. JoJo Fletcher’s final two: Robby Hayes and Jordan Rodgers are meeting the family and getting down on one knee — but who will she choose?
First things first: JoJo Fletcher met up with her family in Thailand to first introduce them to Jordan Rodgers — the guy she told them that she always felt a connection with. While she gave him the first impression rose, he didn’t make that on her family. He was fun (I mean, he brought hats?), but they seemed to think he wasn’t as serious and committed as he should be.
However, Jordan did not ask her dad for his permission to propose; he felt like with Robby still having to meet her parents and without knowing where her head was, it wasn’t right at that time. He also knew how important it was to JoJo that he did ask… but he didn’t.
Next up was Robby Hayes, who definitely wow’d her mother more than Jordan did — he seemed more genuine and less all over the place, in her eyes. She looked genuinely touched when he couldn’t stop raving over her daughter — and we have to say, he did speak to her parents with the utmost respect — he referred to her father as “Dr. Fletcher” and even said her full name when speaking to them. Cheesy? Yes. But sweet, for sure. Her father seemed convinced that JoJo was going to pick him — he told Robby, “she loves you.” Afterward, her dad started crying — a huge moment for JoJo.
Afterward, her entire family told her they liked Jordan, but felt Robby seemed more committed and serious. And when they told her that Jordan didn’t ask for her parents’ permission to propose, she was not happy. In my opinion, she was upset because she knew she wanted Jordan, but her family was causing her more confusion when they clearly didn’t.
Her final dates with the guys could not have gone any differently. Robby had their perfect future all planned out and she was eating up every word he said — I mean, he said they’d be one day sitting in their living room while the meatloaf burned. However, for Jordan, it was the opposite. She told him she was really disappointed. To be honest, when he rambled on with his reasons — like that he wanted to know how she felt first — I wasn’t surprised that she wasn’t thrilled. He basically said a whole lot of nothing, and it sounded like excuses. So afterward, she asked all the questions and waited for the answers. And just left even more confused.
However, it all changed when Jordan woke up and called her parents to ask them for their approval — and he got it. So he told JoJo in a heartfelt, handwritten card, while Robby also had a handwritten note for her. Basically, she was super torn between them. So, what now.
The Final Rose
Robby was up first: he told her she made him weak in the knees, that he would love her forever, and that he will love her until day she dies. And with that, she stopped him. She didn’t want to let him propose. “I woke up this morning wanting it to be you. Every day I’ve been wanting it to be you. I fell in love with you but for some reason my heart is somewhere else,” she said through sobbing. Sound familiar? Well it’s pretty much what Ben Higgins said to her. He was clearly broken, but he was such a gentleman and said to her, “As long as you’re happy.”
And then it was time for Jordan. “I’m gonna wake up every morning and choose you over, and over again,” he said. And then she stopped him to tell him that she loved him! They hugged before he got down on one knee and he was shaking like crazy, but he got the question out — and she said yes! On the After the Final Rose special, Jordan and JoJo even talked about Jordan’s rift with his brother, Aaron!
Are you happy with her choice?
