Kristen Stewart and her girlfriend Alicia Cargile want to kick their relationship up a notch. The actress and the visual effects producer are very much in love and are seriously considering marriage, but they have one hesitation. Hollywoodlife.com has all the EXCLUSIVE deets on what’s holding them up. Click to find out!
Kristen, 26, is notoriously private and has had an adversarial relationship with the media ever since she starred in the Twilight franchise at the tender age of 18. She recently explained to Elle UK, “When I was dating a guy I was hiding everything that I did because everything personal felt like it was immediately trivialized, so I didn’t like it. We were turned into these characters and placed into this ridiculous comic book. And I was like, ‘That’s mine. You’re making my relationship something that it’s not.’ I didn’t like that.”
But now she’s out and proud with Alicia, and the two want to make it official, but Kristen is dreading the inevitable invasion that comes with such a high profile union.
“Kristen and Alicia have been talking about getting married for months,” an insider tells Hollywoodlife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “Kristen’s only hesitation is trying to figure out how to avoid it turning into a huge media frenzy. She is still a really private person.”
However, she is something of a crusader and loves the idea of helping people cope with their sexuality. The source continues, “But every day she warms to the idea a bit more, because she sees the positive impact that her ‘coming out’ has had on the LGTB movement. If it’s about that, she can suck it up and embrace the media circus. But if it’s just to sell magazines, Kristen would rather just keep her relationship the way it is.”
HollywoodLifers, should Kristen and Alicia dive into a big, public wedding and let the world know they’re out and proud, or is their relationship safer with less scrutiny?
