Now here’s something we want, what we really really want! The Spice Girls are celebrating 20 years since the girl group exploded onto the music scene, and HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY has learned that Victoria Beckham is ready to do a reunion concert with the band. But she’ll only do it under one condition so keep reading to see what it is.
“She will only do the reunion for her kids, if her kids want to see her perform then she will do it. Otherwise she really isn’t interested getting the band back together,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. Aww, it would be so cute for Victoria Beckham‘s kids to see their mom as a pop star, especially her only daughter Harper, five, who wasn’t born when Victoria returned to her Posh Spice persona when the band got back together for a world tour in 2007.
“Victoria has definitely held up negotiations, but she might actually get fully on board with something with the rest of the girls if her kids are all for it.,” our insider adds about the 42-year-old. The Spice Girls have been looking to get back together to recognize that its been 20 years since they changed the music world and most of the ladies have been on board with a series of concerts to celebrate their pop icon status. But Victoria has long since moved on, becoming a well-respected fashion designer and has been digging in her high heels against returning to the stage as a pop star.
The mom-of-four isn’t the only holdout though, as Melanie “Sporty Spice” Chisholm hasn’t been on board with getting back together with the group. So far the remaining members Geri “Ginger Spice” Halliwell, 43, Emma “Baby Spice” Bunton, 40, and “Scary Spice” Mel B., 41 are going forward with ways to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the band, and if the other two don’t sign on, they’ll still perform under the name GEM, an acronym of their first names and perform Spice Girls songs.
HollywoodLifers, do you hope Victoria signs on to a Spice Girls Reunion? Or should she leave those days in the past?
