Aventer Gray boarded a flight from LA to Texas for what she says was to attend her “uncle’s funeral,” but the wife of The Preacher’s host, John Gray didn’t have a smooth trip. She got into an intense feud with cops and flight attendants when she tried to swap seats, letting her nanny take her first class seat so she could go sit in coach with her two kids, TMZ reports. One flight attendant wasn’t too happy when assuming Aventer was seeking out an open seat and tried to stop her. She stood her ground, refusing to exit the plane and tried to explain that she had the right to sit in her seats that she paid for.
When Aventer wouldn’t leave the plane, the attendant called police for assistance. The officers seemed to be more understanding as they spoke to the mother, who was crying and emotional. She revealed that she couldn’t miss her flight. “My uncle is dead, I have a funeral!” she pleaded with the cops, who informed her that they had no control over what the airlines do. You could hear other passengers on the aircraft voicing their outrage that Aventer was being treated that way. One person even said, “I’m not flying if she’s not on the plane.” Other people followed with similar responses. WOW!

This next part is so sad. You can see her child in the video comforting her saying, “Mommy don’t cry!” In another video (below) Aventer got her husband involved when she FaceTimed him, and he was anything but happy. She eventually left the plane and worked things out with the airlines, the site revealed, and was let back on the plane. The flight took off after about a two hour delay. Get this, not only was she applauded (which you can see in the video below), but then two of the flight attendants were traded out! That was a smart move! Hopefully they were trying to prevent any further arguments.
We’re hoping Aventer made it to Texas in time to be with her family! And the fact that other strangers on the plane were kind enough to defend her was great to see.
